Donna is a registered and recognized member of the Mono Nation in North Fork, California. She comes to SJRIHEC with over 16 years of professional accounting experience which includes Budget preparation, Auditing and Cost Analysis. Her education and experience includes, but is not limited to, Governmental Accounting, Fund Accounting, Cost Accounting and Computerized Accounting. Along with this, she also has experience with Computer Programming and is knowledgeable and proficient with various types of computer software programs, which include Quattro Pro, Excel, WordPerfect, Word, Visio and a host of other software and mainframe applications. She has implemented computer programs and is responsible for developing forms and accounting procedures established since the inception of the SJRIHEC.
In the past, she has volunteered numerous hours to Central Valley Indian Health, assisting with office duties, volunteered for Outreach Services for Native Americans, and has also served on the Inter-tribal Council. Her dedication to helping others is evident in her work. She works hard and is always willing to help out in any capacity. She is actively involved with Native American groups and is dedicated to preserving and protecting Native American philosophy, history and language for her own child, as well as at-risk youth.
In addition to raising her son to be proud of his heritage, she also works full time, runs a business of her own and volunteers her time and expertise to helping SJRIHEC get up and running. She is very organized and extremely meticulous about her work.
Donna is also a skilled Native American crafts person, who makes Dream Catcher's, Mandela's, Medicine Wheels and Soap brushes in her spare time. She is also learning and teaching according to her family traditions.
