Carol is a registered and recognized member of the Mono Nation and is a member of the Mono Museum in North Fork, California She has been raised with Native American traditions and has been involved with the Native American community most of her life. Although she is very active with her own Nation, her community involvement includes all Nations from the area. Carol is also a gifted crafts person who has been taught the traditional gathering and preparation skills for Native foods, as well as Native American crafts. Her skills and knowledge were developed through teachings and storytelling by her elders.
Carol has approximately 10 years of Managerial and Administrative experience, which includes Office Management and training, scheduling, word processing, and has been responsible for the development of various office management systems. She is also knowledgeable and proficient with various computer software programs, which include word processing and spreadsheet software.
During her employment with the Internal Revenue Service, she received a Performance Award from the Department of Treasury, for Excellence in Performance of all Duties. She is extremely organized and has a keen eye for reviewing and proofing documents. And, not only does she serve on the Board of Directors, but she has also been assigned as the Administrative Assistant for the San Joaquin River Intertribal Heritage Educational Corporation (SJRIHEC).
Along with working full-time in an Administrative Office for a Native American Agency, she also attends school at Fresno City College, where she is working on her degree in Business Administration. After graduation, she plans on attending Fresno State University to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Business.
